Samoyed Rescue

INTRODUCTION

Each year, countless thousands of animals lose their lives due to the actions, directly or indirectly, of humans. Puppy mills which wrecklessly produce animals in the name of the almighty dollar; Breeders who are new and inexperienced, so they don't know how to find good homes. People who forgot to spay Fluffy or neuter Spot. And of course, those who lost their pets by theft, escape, or negligence, the result being another animal ending up a stray.

Samoyed Rescue represents just one of the many purebred breeds with recognized rescue efforts. There are more than 150 AKC-recognized breeds. Too many breeds are unaccounted for. We must start by educating others, and hopefully the effort will blossom.

Around the World, some very dedicated people are adding to the cause of Samoyed Rescue. Many more volunteers are out there helping save the breed, one dog at a time, from the shadows and unknown to us. Our thanks go out to them, wherever they may be. For it does not matter how big or small the effort is. ANY effort is appreciated more than mere words can convey.
